Bernhard Mohr

Bernhard Mohr joined Evonik in 2012 to set-up the Venture Capital activities as Managing Director. He is an active member in several industry associations and has been named in the GCV Powerlist of the top 100 heads of corporate venturing units for eight consecutive years. He holds Board seats at FRX Polymers and STROHM.
Bernhard has more than 20 years of professional experience in the chemical and venture capital industry. Prior to joining Evonik, he worked for BASF where he held international positions in venture capital, strategic marketing, corporate development, controlling and research & development. Bernhard studied chemistry at the Universities of Stuttgart, Germany and Cincinnati, USA and earned a doctorate from the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany. He held postdoctoral appointments in Japan, France and USA where he also worked with Noble Price winners Robert H. Grubbs and Jean Pierre Sauvage.
